Introduction

Rates for packing and unpacking vary, depending on the service the customer chooses to be performed. The containers and materials used in the moving procedure are included in the total cost. Browse through our Tariffs page to find the applicable rates that apply for different services and other charges. US Power Moving works closely with the client to ensure complete satisfaction and mutual conformity.

Packing and Unpacking

Rates for packing include packing and materials; rates for packing and unpacking include packing, the use of packing containers and materials from origin to destination and unpacking. Rates do not include: 1. shipper elects not to have unpacking performed and elects to retain the containers and specifically directs carrier or his agent not to perform unpacking. 2. shipper elects not to have unpacking performed at time of delivery and specifically so directs carrier or his agent. 3. shipment is delivered to a warehouse.

HOURLY TRANSPORTATION RATES

Rates do not include Additional or Accessorial Services; Rates applu on Residential Shipment. Rates and Charges shown below apply on the transportation of household goods between all point in New York State.

TRAVEL TIME

Travel time is a charge not based upon geographical location of carrier. These charges are in addition to all other tariff charges and includes one-way mileage from origin to
destination based on latest issue of the Household Goods Carrier Bureau Mileage Guide. Times will be computed at hourly rate applicable. Rates from Item 2 will apply.

DEPOSIT POLICY

A deposit of 20 % of the estimate is required by the carrier to reserve a specific moving date. The deposit
will be applied to reduce the final moving charges.

At the time the deposit is given to the carrier, the carrier must give to the shipper a copy stating the amount of the deposit. The carrier must also provide the shipper with a shipper and carrier signed Order for Service if a tariff rated move or, if a Written Binding Estimate (WBE), a copy of the WBE contract stating the amount of the deposit.

The deposit will not be refunded if the shipper cancels the move.

TOLLS

Shipper to pay all tolls involved in the move.
